The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is inspired by the woman of the same name. She was a renowned civic leader, active fundraiser and first-born daughter of Texas oil magnate, H.L. Hunt, Jr. Her legacy brought together more than 17 diverse organizations and thousands of volunteers who support the work of transforming and revitalizing the land in and around the Trinity River. These leaders, thinkers and doers have helped the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge become a reality.

The Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is the talk of the town from all points of the compass. Dallas is fully learning the impact of Santiago Calatrava, an internationally acclaimed and award-winning architect, artist and engineer, whose bridge design will single-handedly impact the attitude, growth and visibility of a new, 21st century Dallas.

An AIA Gold Medal Winner and considered among the elite architects, designers and engineers of his generation, Santiago Calatrava's works have been erected around the world including 41 pedestrian and vehicular bridges. From Valencia, Spain, he continues to leave his mark on the architectural world.
