The Texas Horse Park builds upon the years of history and rich equestrian traditions of Texas. Deep in the heart of the Great Trinity Forest, the Texas Horse Park is located near Great Trinity Forest Way and Pemberton Hill Road. The result is an exciting new equestrian facility in an unexpected pastoral setting amidst hardwood trees, ponds and meadows.

When it opens, taking a step further, the Texas Horse Park will be a gateway to a world of nature and riding adventure. Visitors will enjoy modern day city-slicker events or the early days of
Texas ranching and farming along the Trinity River.


Introducing Equest and River Ranch
The Horse Park is developed in partnership with the community and two non-profit groups to provide an expanded range of equestrian-based events and programs. Equest's mission is to empower enrich and educate through horses.  It provides therapeutic sports riding classes and Hippotherapy. The program in Texas was founded in 1981 and it serves people of all ages.

River Ranch Educational Charities at the Texas Horse Park will provide nature and ranch experiences turning the South Dallas park into a destination for groups and individuals to enjoy a wide range of activities and services including riding lessons, trail rides, school tours and hayrides. It will also become known for its Western-style family getaways and corporate events.

Construction of the Texas Horse Park
Overall Site Plan
Construction is underway with an estimated completion date in late 2014. The Texas Horse Park includes: an activity center, three horse barns, two covered arenas, trailhead pavilion, horse trails, and other administrative and maintenance areas.
